If you own a dog, you might have wondered if it is possible that your furry friend can see things that you can’t. What I mean is, sometimes a pup can stand in an empty room and bark at nothing, alteast nothing that you can see.
Many different scientists have researched that fact that dogs can actually see or sense the supernatrual.
This so called “sisth sense” might just be because of the dogs senses being a lot stronger than humans, according to Animal Planet.
Both a dogs sense of smell and hearing is far greater than that of humans. And because of a dogs height and his view, he might see small movements with his sight as well, movements that you easily might miss. A dogs smell is between 1,000-10,000 times stronger than us humans. And their hearings can pick up on much higher frequencies that you can’t hear.
Maybe your dog is barking at the wall simply because he hears a neighbour doing something, or cooking something that he can smell and you can’t?
Some people say that both humans and pets have something called a “sixth sense” that have a connection to the supernatural, but that humans try to explain everything or deny what they are seeing or feeling. Dogs on the other hand, don’t deny or judge anything that they might see or feel, and therefore they might be more open and sensitive to it.
There have been many instances where dogs have sensed danger before humans have because of their strong senses. In 2004 when the big tsunami hit, people reported that their dogs ran for cover or even refused to go outside. Experts believe it was because they could sense the vibration in the ground before the earthquake strong enough for us to notice.

But of course we can never really truely know why a dog is standing in an empty room barking at a wall because they can’t talk to us. It might be a dead relative that they see, or maybe it is just your neighbour cooking a steak that he can smell and gets hungry because of it?
However it doesn’t really matter what the reason is to me, I still think dogs are awesome!
Have your dog barked at seemingly “nothing”? Let us know in the comments!
